More information by the provider: Welcome to the Chalet Chapfwald in the wonderful district of Arvenbüel above Amden and the Walensee in the Swiss mountains. Here is your vacation home with a lot of space between mighty mountains and the crystal clear Walensee. The houses location is very idyllic - in the immediate vicinity of the popular Chapf overlook, at the end of a gravel road and in front of a spruce forest. The location alone promises a real Switzerland vacation for the whole family. The house can accommodate up to 9 people in 3 bedrooms. The balcony, the terrace and the garden invite you to a leisurely break. Enjoy your vacation amidst an enchanting adventure region with diverse hiking trails, spectacular viewpoints and a lot of natural beauty. The popular Amden-Arvenbüel ski resort is right at the doorstep, so to speak. The ski school in particular is easily accessible. The cross-country ski trail and winter hiking trails start right in front of the house. The nearest bus stop, Arvenbüel, Arven, is 1 kilometer away. Parking is available in front of the house. Here, alpine freshness and southern beach atmosphere hit each other directly. Whether on a hike through the breathtaking mountain landscape with panoramic views, a leisurely boat ride on the fjord-like Walensee, or during a swim in the crystal clear water - Amden and Weesen offer the perfect vacation feeling. In winter, the Amden-Arvenbüel ski resort is the highlight for children. From the village of Amden, you can reach the sporty slopes at Mattstock and Bärenfall. The Amden-Arvenbüel sun terrace has a lot to offer all year long. Our tip: a cozy evening at the family fire pit Brittertannen. The fire pit is easy to reach on foot from the vacation house and has an idyllic location. Together with the regions of Heidiland, Glarnerland and Lake Zurich in the neighborhood, the excursion possibilities within an hours drive are virtually endless. In the basement, there is a large recreation room with table tennis and darts. There is also a washer and dryer at your disposal. On the elevated ground floor is the kitchen with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, oven, ceramic stove top and a lot of kitchen utensils. A coffee maker (Nespresso) and a fully automatic espresso machine are available and provide a good start to the day. Immediately afterwards, your gaze falls through the living and dining room to the outdoors into the mountains. Two large couches and a pull-out dining table can be found here. For cozy hours, you can have a fire in the soapstone furnace. There is entertainment, for example, on the TV with DVD player. There are loan DVDs and a lot books there for you. Continue into the bedroom with a double bed (180x200 cm) and the adjacent modern bathroom with shower/toilet and sink. The top floor is divided into two bedrooms and a second modern bathroom with plenty of daylight and a bathtub, toilet and sink. In the smaller of the two rooms is a twin bed (two 90x200 cm beds). In the largest room under the roof, there are a total of 5 beds (90x200 cm single beds). Storage space and cabinets are available in all rooms. Pets are not allowed in this chalet. If you book your holiday house or apartment less then 43 days prior to your arrival date, you will have to pay the total rental cost immediately.

Refundable Damage Deposit
The key holder is entitled to ask for a deposit. You will find the deposit amount in the cost overview on the object detail page of the holiday house or the apartment as well as on your booking confirmation.
The deposit can be paid by credit card or cash (as mentioned on your booking confirmation). It is necessary to pay the deposit otherwise you will not receive your key. Please note that at some locations the only option is cash payment.
What happens to my breakage deposit?
The deposit is a security retainer and will be refunded upon proper return of the rental property. The deposit will either be refunded to your bank account or received directly from the keyholder if you paid in cash. For a refund of the deposit to your bank account, always leave your IBAN- and BIC-code with the keyholder.
