More information by the provider: Welcome to the Swiss mountains - welcome to Amden! The village of Amden lies high above Lake Walen (Walensee) in the Canton of St. Gallen in eastern Switzerland. The classic and charming Chalet Engihalde is located on a wonderful panoramic position above the center, without any direct neighbors. The rustic and spacious house can accommodate 6 people. Feel as if you were alive in the days of Heidi and spend a wonderful stay in the Swiss mountains. Situated on two floors, there is a pretty living room with an integrated dining area and adjoining kitchen, a bathroom and three bedrooms. One bedroom is on the upper floor, two additional bedrooms are on the raised ground floor. In front of the house is a garden for your exclusive use. From here you can enjoy a wonderful view of the mountains. In spring and summer you may even have a view of cows sunbathing on the meadow in front of the house. The bus stop Amden, Stocksitten is in the immediate vicinity of the house. A single garage and a parking space are available. The road to the Arvenbüel skiing and hiking area is on the side facing away from the house. Amden lies on a lovely mountain depression and offers a wonderful landscape and an abundance of leisure activities both in summer and winter. In winter, the family-friendly ski area invites you to go skiing, winter hiking or sledding. The Amden ski school in particular has an excellent reputation. From the Chalet Engihalde you can reach the ski area by car or bus in a few minutes. In summer, for example, you can enjoy the Walensee area to the fullest, either by hiking, walking or swimming in the lake. Wonderful hiking tours can be undertaken in the mountains around Amden and Walensee. Our tip: Walk from the Chalet Engihalde to the Giregärtli viewpoint in about 10 minutes. A playground in the forest, a cozy fireplace and the fantastic view await you here. By the way, Amden is very central: in less than an hours drive you can reach the cities of Zurich, Chur, St. Gallen or Lucerne. Enjoy a delightful, warm welcome in the charming holiday home in Amden. Refundable Damage Deposit
The key holder is entitled to ask for a deposit. You will find the deposit amount in the cost overview on the object detail page of the holiday house or the apartment as well as on your booking confirmation.
The deposit can be paid by credit card or cash (as mentioned on your booking confirmation). It is necessary to pay the deposit otherwise you will not receive your key. Please note that at some locations the only option is cash payment.
What happens to my breakage deposit?
The deposit is a security retainer and will be refunded upon proper return of the rental property. The deposit will either be refunded to your bank account or received directly from the keyholder if you paid in cash. For a refund of the deposit to your bank account, always leave your IBAN- and BIC-code with the keyholder.
