Of course it's also possible to rent a professional race bicycle. A lot of cyclists will prefer their own bike, both have it's pros and cons. You don't have to adjust to your own bicycle, but keep in mind there are extra costs for flying the bicycle over (around 80 euro for a round trip), the transport from and to the airport (about 20 euro) and the chance of damage.
