Beaches: The Bird of Paradise Home is midway between Shipwreck Beach, Brennecke's beach and Poipu Beach Park.  If you walk to the west from Bird of Paradise Home, you will reach Poipu Beach Park and Brennecke' Beach. If you walk towards east, you will reach Shipwreck Beach. 

• Shipwreck Beach and Brennecke's beach is great for boogie boarding and body surfing.
• Poipu Beach Park rated the best beach in the USA, is adjacent to the Brennecke's Beach is great for snorkeling, protected swimming, and has a swim and snorkel area for children as well as a playground.
