Sometimes airfares are weird! From DFW to Cozumel, airfare can be priced $600-$800 round trip, and there is only one non-stop per day. However, flights from DFW to Cancun are usually half the price and there are so many flight time options! Getting from Cancun to Cozumel is painless and can save you hundreds of dollars. Once you exit the terminal in Cancun, there will be a ticket booth for the ADO Bus. The buses leave about every 30 minutes. Purchase the tickets for Playa Del Carmen, head out to the bus terminal and find your bus. There are plenty of helpful people to guide you. The ADO buses are very nice! They are air-conditioned, have wireless internet, and the seats are quite comfy! The bus fare from Cancun to Playa is around $10 USD, depending on the exchange rate. The ride is about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The bus drops you off in the bus terminal at 5th and Juarez. You "drag your bag" through Playa to the Ferry Terminal. Buy your ticket with either WaterJets or Ultramar and hop on the ferry to make your way to Cozumel. Taxi's are plentiful when you dock in Cozumel. It is just that easy!!
