Cooktop

This is a propane gas cooktop. Propane gas tends to burn hotter, which you may notice a slight difference if you are used to a natural gas cooktop. To operate the gas burners, press the desired knob DOWN FIRST, then turn counter-clockwise to the left. It will ignite on the “Hi” mark. To turn the flame off, turn the knob all the way to the right. The knobs should glide easily. If it is not turning easily, the knobs may have been replaced to the wrong location when the cooktop was being cleaned. There are two positions for the fan. Turn clockwise to either “low” or “high.”

Oven

The oven is a standard sized GE convection oven. It is easy to operate. If you decide to cook bacon in the oven, consider using a lower temperature such as 350 F. Bacon splatters tend to smoke. Turn on the cooktop fan and crack open a couple windows for more air flow. You'll find oven mitts, baking trays and a roasting pan in the drawers or lower cabinets.

BBQ

A covered gas grill is located on the deck. BBQ utensils are stored in the first kitchen drawer to the left of the refrigerator. Please return them here. Please shut off the propane immediately after use. We find it is quite common people forget to turn it off when there is a large group. Please monitor this as it can be a serious fire hazard. Return the cover back to the BBQ after it cools.
