The Forest Apartment is a centrally located Airbnb Triplex perfect for budget travelers. Our location counts 11 private rooms over 1900 sq ft, with 2 bathrooms, complimentary toiletries, and a fully stocked kitchen. Each private room is equipped with a key, fast internet, towels, chair, fan in summer, space heater in winter, clothes rack, and mirror. Your room is located in the top unit and measures approximately 10x8 with a queen-sized bed and a window facing the beautiful bay.

This private and secure room is a good-sized bedroom for one or two travelers looking for a simple but comfortable space while visiting the city. We worked hard to provide you with beautifully designed and colorful rooms and all the essentials for an enjoyable stay down to complementary earplugs and ironing supplies.

We provide self-check-in and daily common area cleaning included in the rate. For an extra fee, we have additional services for early/late check-in, early/late luggage drop-off, satin cotton sheet upgrade, next-day wash and fold, mail delivery, and airport pick-up. We have a dedicated customer support team 7 days a week from 9 am to 9 pm and on-call maintenance from 10 am to 8 pm.

The light rail station is a 10 min walk and it only takes 10 minutes to reach Downtown. An Uber without traffic can also get you Downtown in 5 minutes or the airport in 25.

Please note that street parking is limited in the area, with only two private parking spots available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis. Get comfortable in our communal kitchen, complete with all the necessities to make yourself a home-cooked meal. Feel free to spark up a conversation with your fellow travelers and enjoy complimentary coffee or tea together. Labels and pens are provided to mark your food before you store it. We reserve half a shelf for each guest in the refrigerator and cabinet.

Refresh yourself in your pick of the 2 full bathrooms equipped with amenities such as body soap, shampoo, and hairdryer.
We have a deck with patio furniture and a designated smoking area for you to take a break and relax surrounded by the lush nature of the Pacific Northwest.

While you have access to all the shared areas the laundry facilities are for staff use only.
We have little signs and instructions to help navigate the space. We also ask guests to follow a few simple house rules to ensure all our guests have a positive experience in sharing the space.

Convenient access to public transportation ensures easy exploration of the citys vibrant attractions, from Downtown to the trendy Ballard neighborhood, all only minutes away.
Plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance such as Fuji Bakery, Starbucks, Barrel and Bacon, Holy Mountain Brewing, Chipotle, Whole Foods and so much more.

Hop on the D, 24, or 33 buses for a quick 15-minute ride to Downtown or a 10-minute journey to Ballard. Alternatively, Uber or Lyft can whisk you to Downtown in just 10 minutes. However, the E-bikes and E-scooters are arguably the most fun way to get around the city, allowing you to stop and sightsee as you please. They are easily found and rented through the UBER app.

Originally constructed in 1921, this triplex apartment was thoroughly renovated in 2024, blending historic charm with modern amenities. We take pride in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for our valued guests. While we do not have air conditioning, we provide fans to ensure your comfort during warmer months. On summer nights the temperature tends to drop, but if you are very sensitive to the heat and you happen to be here in the one week a year that the temperature is in the 90’s, you may want to seek accommodation with air conditioning.
This property is peacefully perched atop the Queen Anne Greenbelt the shared 6-bedroom apartment offers breathtaking views of Elliott Bay and Puget Sound. There is a walk uphill to the house and a single two short sets of stairs up to the door. Well worth the wonderful view but something to consider when booking.

For your security and peace of mind, surveillance cameras are installed at the entry door and parking areas.

SELF CHECK IN: This property is secluded up a small hill overlooking Elliott Bay. Once you turn onto Prospect rd, ignore the house on the right, that’s our neighbor’s house. You will go up to where the road splits and you will take a left following the sign with the address 1040 Elliott Ave W. Our reserved paid parking is marked on the left hand side. The house is up the road just a bit more. Please see attached pictures. This unit is on the 2nd floor of the triplex. Once you arrive at the property you will see a carport, take the stairs on the right of it and follow them up until the second level the door is at the corner of the building directionally infrastructure of the staircase.

House Rules
House Rules The following rules are important for everyone’s safety, and enjoyment, this is a shared house and we all must be considerate and respectful of other people’s experiences. I know it may seem like a long list, but every single one of them has been put in place to respond to previous guest’s complaints and we hope it will improve future guest’s experience. Please read before booking and understand that this is what you agree to abide by when staying with us. I will do my best to keep it short but specific. Check-in & Check-out 1. Regular check-in is between 4 pm and 8 pm. a. We discourage late check-ins and have a $10 fee for that because our staff is home with their families and cannot respond to issues during the check-in process after hours. b. Check-in after 12 am is not allowed in order to minimize disturbances to other guests c. After 10 pm, I won’t be reachable by phone or Airbnb message and no support is available. 2. Early check-in is available starting at 12 pm for an additional $20 and at 1:30 pm for $10 3. We offer Early Luggage Drop Off for an additional $10/bag starting at 10 am. There is a dedicated space marked with a sign to leave your luggage in the entrance of the house. a. Leaving more bags than paid for will result in a $50 penalty b. Leaving bags anywhere other than the designated space will result in a $50 penalty 4. When checking in, inspect the property to ensure there are no damages from previous guests that the cleaners may have overlooked. a. Report any issues immediately upon arrival to prevent getting charged for things you did not damage. b. Inspecting the property upon arrival also gives us the time and opportunity to respond and fix the issue. c. No refunds will be provided for issues reported after 6 pm. 5. Check-out is before 10 am. Our cleaners have limited time to ensure every room and common space is ready for the next guest, so it is important to check out on time. Late checkout will result in a $100 penalty a. If you are moving to a different room, you are still required to leave the room, remove your things, and put them in the space dedicated to luggage in the entrance area until your new room is ready so our cleaners can clean the room. b. Alterations are not allowed. Extensions to reservations are only allowed on the same day of booking or if the day requested for extension is more than 14 days away. 6. We offer Late Luggage Pick-up for an additional $10/bag. There is a dedicated space at the entrance to leave your luggage in the entrance of the house. It must be packed and put neatly there, not left in the room. a. Leaving luggage in the room will result in a $50 penalty b. Leaving more bags than paid for will result in a $50 penalty c. Leaving bags anywhere other than the designated space will result in a $50 penalty d. Luggage MUST be picked up by 8 pm. e. We are not responsible for any loss. 7. All rooms have signs with their names and we send directions on the check-in instructions as well. Check your reservation to ensure you are entering the correct room. If in doubt, reach out for clarification. This is important for everyone’s safety and quality of experience. a. If you check into the wrong room it will result in a $100 penalty 8. All bedroom doors have a lock and key. a. Never lock your room door from the inside when leaving, always use the key to lock it from the outside. Just in case the key malfunctions or you forget your key in the room. b. If you lock yourself out of the room it will result in a $75 penalty to dispatch the on-call maintenance person. c. Dispatch after 8 pm cannot be guaranteed in which case guests will have to call a local locksmith to open the door. Any damage done to the door or the lock will be charged accordingly. d. Keys must be left on the nightstand at checkout or a $75 Lost Key fee will be charged. 9. Leave the room in reasonable condition, no need to make the bed but no excessive trash or mess. Cleaning fees only cover the standard cleaning between reservations. a. Any extra cleaning needed will result in a minimum $50 cleaning fee b. If carpet cleaning is needed it will result in a $200 carpet cleaning fee Parking 1. We offer off street parking on a first come first serve basis and cannot guarantee availability so always check with us prior to booking. a. Parking is an additional $15 per night for a parking spot halfway up the hill or $20 per night for a spot on the top of the hill. Model and license plate info will be required. b. Any unauthorized vehicles will incur a $100 penalty fee per night and will be towed at owner's expense. 2. We do not offer secured bike parking and no bikes are allowed in the house. You can lock your bike outside as long as it’s not in anyone’s way: a. Bringing bikes inside the house will result in a $50 penalty. b. We are not liable for bikes left outside. Security 1. Booking for other people is not allowed. Your reservation has to have your name on it. If not, we reserve the right to ask you to leave and we won’t issue any refunds. And we will call the police if you or your guest do not leave. 2. We do not accept children under the age of 8 years old for private room bookings because the space is being shared among different guests and is not safe for small children. 3. Guests are required to close the front door and make sure it latches and therefore locks when coming or going. This is important for everyone's safety and security a. Leaving the door open or unlocked will result in a $50 penalty. 4. Do not leave valuables unattended, we are not responsible for any loss during your stay 5. Sending mail and packages to the house is not allowed. Any mail and packages not addressed to the owner are disposed of daily for security purposes. House Standards 1. Quiet Hours are from 10 pm to 8 am. These are shared homes and we need to respect each other’s experience a. Any reports of excessive noise including but not limited to talking, playing music, cooking, etc. will result in a $50 penalty b. Since we can not control other guests' actions there are complimentary earplugs under the kitchen sink to help ensure a peaceful night's sleep in case anyone is not following quiet hours. Please report any noise violations, so we can message any guests who are being disrespectful. 2. Visitors and extra guests are not allowed a. Bringing visitors or extra guests will result in a $100 penalty per person per day 3. No smoking, hard liquor, or drugs of any kind allowed in the house. Smoking is only allowed 20 ft from the house: a. Smoking, hard alcohol, and use of any drugs including Marijuana inside the house will result in a $200 penalty as well as you being told to leave and canceling your remaining days without a refund 4. We only provide one set of sheets and one towel/washcloth per guest per stay a. Room cleaning and new towels are available for an additional $20 b. If the duvet cover or sheets are found stained or damaged in any way it will result in a replacement fee of $70 and $65 respectively. c. If towels are found stained or damaged in any way it will result in a replacement fee of $18 5. No eating, drinking, or storing food within rooms. Violations will result in a $50 penalty 6. We don’t allow the cooking of fish, curries, fried foods, or any cooking that creates strong and penetrating smells to avoid situations in which other guests are uncomfortable in their rooms because of a strong smell from the kitchen that travels through the house. Doing so will result in a $100 fee. 7. Label all food and drinks with the name of your room and your check-out date. Please store it in the fridge or the cabinet labeled “Guest Food”. a. Our cleaners check the fridge, cabinets, and countertops regularly and remove any food from past guests as well as unmarked food b. This is a shared space, please clean up after yourself in regards to the stove, table, or counters and wash any dishes you use right away c. Sticking the food labels on the kitchen cabinets, shelves, or inside the fridge will result in a $10 penalty. 8. Be sure to wash all your dishes and clean cooking surfaces after use. Again these are shared spaces and we need to be considerate. a. Leaving dirty dishes or dirty cooktops will result in a $20 penalty 9. Put all trash in the designated trash receptacles in the kitchen and differentiate between recycling and trash: a. Leaving excessive trash in the rooms beyond what fits in the bin will result in a $20 penalty b. Extra trash can be put in the bigger kitchen bins 10. Bathrooms, kitchens, and other common areas are shared spaces. Please do not leave personal belongings, unmarked food in the fridge or cabinets and items left in the bathroom will be disposed of daily by our cleaner. Be sure to clean up after yourself to leave the space welcoming for the next guest, our cleaners are only there for a few hours every day and can not clean up after every guest so it is important for everyone’s experience that we are all considerate. 11. Washer and dryer are not part of the amenities and only for staff use, no exceptions a. Unauthorized use will result in a $50 penalty per load. 12. Pets are not allowed, other guests may have allergies so we want to respect them. That includes emotional support animals. In Washington state, only service animals trained to help with specific tasks for specific disabilities are allowed. 13. We reserve the right to enter the rooms with a 12 hour notice for maintenance and operations purposes.
