Separate log cottage, completed in spring 2005, on the shore of Lake Ounasjoki in Kittilä.
The cottage has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. The living room has a sofa bed for 3 persons.
Well-equipped kitchen-living room. Electric sauna, shower and separate toilet. Fireplace (baking oven above the fireplace is not in use). Drying cabinet for clothes. Satellite dish in cottage (including news channels in English, German and Russian).
The distance from the cottage to Kittilä is about 13 km and to Levi and Ylläs about 30 km. Suvantovirta is situated on the banks of the fishy Ounas River, the most common catches are grayling and trout. Fishing permits and where to buy them can be found at
Ball barbecue for use. Water in the tap contains iron, which causes smell and taste into the water. However, its examined and potable. Wlan.
In winter the nearest groomed ski trail is about 3 km from Särestöniemi. From there you can reach to Ylläs and Levis skiing tracks. There is a connecting track from Suvantovirta to Särestö from week 8, if the snow conditions allow it. There is direct access to the tracks from the cabin yard. The snowmobile track is 1 km along the road (50 m to the ice on the river, where you can also go sledging).
Toilets, laundry room, saunas renovated, windows, front door and floors replaced in May-June 2021.
New sofa and 43 Smart TV replaced in autumn 2024.
There is a seldom-used fishing cottage beside this cottage. However, its occupied about one time during summer time and beside the fishing cottage the next neighbor is 500 m away. Shooting track in the neighborhood (distance 1,5 km as the crow flies).
Prices are included final cleaning. Bed linen are available for rent. Pets are allowed. Extra fee for pets.
Reservations start at 16.00 and end at 12.00 (also in weekend bookings).

A down payment of 20% of the total rental cost of the reserved rental property is payable within 5 days of the booking date. The remaining balance must be paid to Interhome no later than 28 days before the start of the rental period. If you book your holiday house or apartment less then 43 days prior to your arrival date, you will have to pay the total rental cost immediately.

Refundable Damage Deposit

The deposit can be paid by credit card or cash (as mentioned on your booking confirmation). It is necessary to pay the deposit otherwise you will not receive your key. Please note that at some locations the only option is cash payment.

The deposit is a security retainer and will be refunded upon proper return of the rental property. The deposit will either be refunded to your bank account or received directly from the keyholder if you paid in cash.
