Shoes Off: Please remove your shoes and place them on the shoe tray upon entering the property. Sleeper sofa: If you need to sleep on the sofa during your stay, please use the flat sheets (stored in closet) to cover the sofa. We aim to keep the fabric clean for every guest. Visitors and Guest Communication: Overnight stays by unregistered guests are strictly prohibited. Mailbox Access: To ensure the privacy and security of all mail, a mailbox key will not be provided. If you’re expecting letter deliveries, we recommend using the General Delivery service or renting a PO Box at the nearby USPS (on Wycoff Street). Rest assured that all packages will be delivered directly to the door or within the building. We also placed notes on the mailbox instructing carriers not to leave small packages inside. However, we are not responsible for missing packages. Laundry Use and Supplies: 1. Dryer Sheets: We do not provide dryer sheets. The manufacturer, LG, has advised against the use of them, and the warranty will be voided if they are used in our machines. We kindly ask for your cooperation on this matter. 2. Laundry Detergent: The washing machine is highly powerful and intelligent, so we anticipate that guests will use fewer than 15 loads during a month-long stay. We restock our supplies on the 10th of each month. If the HE (high efficiency) detergent runs out before our monthly replenishment, we kindly ask you to provide your own. 3. Care for the LG WashTower: After each wash cycle, please wipe away any excess water and promptly remove linens from the dryer. This helps maintain the efficiency and longevity of our machines. If you're unsure about the settings, you can find the manual in the right drawer of the study desk in the middle room. Starter Essentials & Grocery Access: Our home is conveniently located just around the corner from a 24-hour grocery store. To help you settle in, we provide a starter of cooking essentials, including oil, salt and pepper, grounded coffee, and rice. Beyond these initial supplies, guests are responsible for purchasing any additional pantry items they might need during their stay. Given our prime location to the grocery store, you have the flexibility to buy your preferred items at any time. Utility Usage: We encourage mindful electricity usage during your stay. Please turn off lights, appliances, and heating or AC when not used. Alarm System: A smoke alarm is located above the front door. To prevent excessive smoke while cooking, please turn on the vent (third switch from the left on the switch panel). When using candles, please be sure to exercise caution and never leave them burning unattended. Personal Belongings: In the middle room closet, you'll find some of our items stored in boxes marked with black dot stickers.
