Escape to this 5-bedroom Pembrokeshire retreat, combining Ponderosa & The Hide for the ultimate coastal getaway. Perched above Newgale Beach in Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, this haven features a 4-bedroom beach house & a standalone designer studio, complete with panoramic sea views, a private sauna, outdoor dining areas, & landscaped garden. Just a 3-minute walk to the beach & coast path, it’s ideal for family adventures, group getaways & exploring everything Pembrokeshire has to offer.
Ponderosa and The Hide offer flexible accommodations perfect for families, groups, or couples seeking a coastal retreat. One of the standout features of Ponderosa is the newly fitted 7m sliding doors in the kitchen and dining area, which create a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. The Hide, a self-contained designer studio within the grounds, adds versatility to the property. It includes its own kitchen, lounge, dining space, and full bathroom, making it ideal for couples who want a private space while staying close to their group. The Hide also features a private sauna (seats 4) and sliding doors with beautiful views of Newgale Beach and the surrounding wetlands.
Recent updates, including a new glass balcony around the property, ensure a modern and comfortable stay. Ponderosa’s wrap-around balcony provides the perfect spot for enjoying a morning coffee while taking in views of Roch Castle or an evening drink as the sun sets over the Pembrokeshire coast. The newly landscaped gardens add a peaceful touch and include an outdoor dining area for al fresco meals overlooking the beach below.
The main house has a contemporary kitchen/dining area equipped with everything needed to prepare meals, a cosy log burner for cooler evenings, and ample space for relaxing. Upstairs are a further two bedrooms, one queen and one family room sleeping 4 (double and twin), each with an en-suite w.c., plus a TV, DVD player, and games console. On the ground floor, two spacious bedrooms (one queen and one twin) feature en-suite shower rooms and are open directly to the gardens via French doors. A utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer and a dedicated workspace add further convenience.
The beach is just a 5–10 minute stroll away, making it easy to enjoy Newgale’s famous sands, surfing, and scenic coastal walks. With a pub, café, and shop within walking distance, everything you need is close at hand for a relaxed stay.

Newgale is a one of the most spectacular beaches on the Pembrokeshire coast. Its almost 2 miles of golden sand backed by a huge pebble bank formed after a BIG storm in 1859.
Kitesurfing and surfing are popular on this beach and tuition is available.
Walk right down to the southern end to find a walk-through cave and numerous sheltered bays.
Cross the river, at the back of the pebble bank opposite the cafe at the north end to gain access to several low tide bays.
At very low tide it’s possible to walk round to Cwm Mawr beach but keep an eye on the tide times as you dont want to get cut off.
Dog restrictions apply to the middle third of the beach between the 1st May and 30th September.
While there are a few public transport options running along the coast, its recommended that you have a car for the duration of your stay. Ponderosa has ample off-road parking for up to 3 large vehicles.
Theres ample parking for three cars and an EV charger for use during your stay. Four cars can be parked when parked carefully. Additional free parking is available by the beach. Access to the beach is on an off-road track (5m of curb-side road to reach the track), and you can be on the sand in less than 10 minutes!
