Hollybourne - The Bridge Builders Cottage

This unique cottage is one of the first built during the Jekyll Club Era and like Horton House, from and age before, it is built of tabby. The Maurice family were attached to Jekyll. There at the beginning and fighting to the bitter end to maintain control of their home. Jekyll Sandpiper renters who get the chance to tour this home will learn how a bridge builder influenced the architecture of his home.

Goodyear where History and Art Meet

One of the "cottages" built during the Club Era on Jekyll Island. It is the home of the Jekyll Island Arts Association. Open daily for visits to the Arts Association gallery and gift shop. Great place for Jekyll Sandpiper renters to shop or view a bit of history.

Horton House - Georgia's Oldest Tabby House

A piece of history found on the west side of Jekyll Island. Great for a glimpse into the era when Georgia was first settled by the Europeans. Makes for a nice place to stop on a bike ride around the island. Jekyll Sandpiper visitors will soon be able to see a garden highlighting the crops grown during Jekyll's time as a working plantation.

Historic Tours - Lives of the Rich and Famous during Jekyll's Club Era

Step into the lives of the rich and famous. Explore the lives of the Rockefellers during the early 1900s. Learn about how Pulitzer gained entrance to into a largely conservative and elite group of people that controlled the country. Jekyll Sandpiper renters have only a short drive to the west side of the island to view these stunning "cottages".
