Wisp Ski Resort and the Deep Creek Lake State Park are less than 10 minutes away. Traders Coffee, Arrowhead Market, Firewater Restaurant, Ace's Run Restaurant, the infamous Honi Honi bar, Deep Creek Fun Zone, and the movie theatre are less than 5 minutes away. Swallow Falls is less than 20 away. We provide a guest book with local tips and recommendations.
The home is located on a beautiful mountain and therefore both the gravel road leading to the home as well as the home's gravel driveway are on an incline. Neighborhood roads and the home's driveway are plowed during inclement winter weather but it is still strongly advised that guests have 4WD or AWD when visiting during inclement winter weather.

Guest is liable for any damage to the property and agrees to accept charges to the card on file should damage occur during occupancy.
 
Tampering with outdoor security cameras is prohibited.
 
You agree to provide us with proof of age upon request. A parent or legal guardian must accompany all guests who are under the Minimum Age for the entire duration of the rental.
 
The number of people present at the Property may not exceed the maximum posted occupancy. No visitors other than those disclosed in your reservation.
 
Please treat the Property with the same care you would use with your own residence and leave it in the same condition it was in when you arrived.
 
To prevent theft of or damage to furnishings or your personal property, you agree to close and lock doors and windows when you are not present at the Property and upon check-out.

In addition, subject to Airbnb’s damage claim policies, you are responsible for (1) any damage or loss that occurs at the Property during your stay; (2) a charge of up to $500 for violations of the pet policy; (3) an additional cleaning fee of up to $400 (or the actual cost of cleaning services, if greater) for violations of any of the guest policies above or for excessive cleaning required by the acts or omissions of any Occupant during your stay; and (4) any fines issued by police, other government officials or agencies, utility providers, and/or homeowner associations for violation of any law, ordinance, or rule during your stay, and any damages (which may exceed the amount of fines) that result from the violation.

We will take reasonable and appropriate steps to remedy any reported problem as soon as practicable. We may enter the Property at your invitation to remedy any problem you report, at reasonable times and with reasonable notice to inspect, maintain, or repair the Property, and to address any situation that we reasonably deem an emergency that threatens persons or property.

Full refund for cancellations up to 30 days before check-in. If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking. After that, 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. No refund after that.

This unit, located in the beautiful mountains does not have central A/C. For your comfort in case of unusually warm weather, there is a window a/c unit located in living room, a ceiling fan in every bedroom as well as the kitchen (2), living room (1) and downstairs area (2), 2 large box fans, and even a large portable air conditioning unit. Please also visit climate websites to assess average monthly temperatures in the area. Temperatures rarely exceed 80 degrees and evenings are mild, even in summer months.
Each room (including bathrooms) on the first level of the home is equipped with electric baseboard heating. For your comfort, the basement is equipped with multiple heaters to keep the area warm in the winter months.
The availability of the gas fireplace is seasonal (October 1 - May 1).
For your comfort, the home is regularly treated for pests. The hideaway is located in the woods and surrounded by the beauty of nature. Bugs come with the territory. Despite our best efforts, the occasional bug may enter the home especially if unscreened windows or doors are kept open. Keep doors closed and food cleaned up to limit attracting anything. There is bug spray located in the pantry of the home that can be used if absolutely necessary.
For your comfort, the host provides one roll of toilet paper per bathroom and one trash bag per trash can in the home. These items
