Welcome to the Oneota Vista, a private apartment on the walkout basement floor of our house with beautiful views of the Oneota valley. Our home is located on the Trout Run bike trail (an 11-mile paved loop which winds through Decorah). It is a mile walk to downtown Decorah, and less than 2 miles from Luther College.

This cozy apartment is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring, canoeing, hiking, biking, fishing, shopping, and checking out the local breweries.
Fully-furnished walkout basement floor of house, complete with heated floors, sleeping for 6, and two private entrance. The unit consists of 1 bedroom, a private bathroom, a full kitchen, and open living/dining space. The main bedroom has a queen bed. The living space has a twin bed with an additional trundle for another person. Also, the sleeper-couch in the living area is available for sleeping as well.

Basic wifi, a TV with Netflix, as well as a variety of DVDs, family games, and puzzles are available for use during your stay. The kitchen has a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and Keurig available. A washer and dryer is located in the hallway closet.

Parking is available. We have a cement pad near the house which accommodates one parking spot for both of our apartments (Apartment #1 and #2). There is also parking around the pad on the grass for other vehicles. Please do not block the western (right) garage door.

Take the adjacent trail .6 miles to downtown Decorah. Easy to get to via foot, car, or bike. Some bikes available to borrow onsite, and located a short distance away from Decorah Bicycles.

Notes
With the view, we have a gravel driveway to traverse the hill. While the driveway is not an issue for most of the year, it can provide challenges in snow during the winter. Also please note that the remote location makes internet access difficult, and the valley can impede cellular access. While Wifi works great for general email/web surfing, it is not ideal for streaming or Zoom videoconference.
