You will absolutely forget what day it is when you stay at Island Time Buxton! This four-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath cottage gives true meaning to a vacation on the beach. Just one row back from the ocean, someone with a good arm could throw a stone into the sea from either sundeck, and with 2,500 sq. feet of living space, there is plenty of room for the entire family to enjoy the amazing views all day and night.
Located on beautiful Tower Circle Road in Buxton, theres no need to haul gear back and forth from the car to enjoy your day at the beach; all you need to do is walk out your front door and walk across the street to enjoy the surf and sun. Dual outdoor showers and an outdoor restroom provide the beach lover with the ultimate convenience. Ready for lunch? Use the fish cleaning table for filleting your fresh catch and throw it on the charcoal grill to cook them up along with some hot dogs and burgers - a perfect beach picnic!
As you enter the home on the bottom level, you are welcomed by a cozy den and game room. A comfortable couch, large flatscreen smart TV, games, puzzles, and an air hockey table are provided to help occupy the kids when they need a break from the sand and sunshine. Meanwhile, you can find a perfect book from our library for those afternoons lounging on one of the two sundecks. Laundry? No worries! You wont need to bring those dirty towels home, the washer and dryer are there for your convenience.
Moving upstairs to the second level, you will find all four bedrooms. The first bedroom has two sets of bunk beds and a large flatscreen smart TV perfect for gaming. The second bedroom has a queen bed, smart TV, and direct access to the hot tub through the French doors. These two bedrooms share a nice sized full bathroom which is off the hallway. Bedrooms three and four are both main suites with queen beds, full bathrooms, flatscreen smart TVs, and direct access to the first level deck and its accompanying hot tub. From both rooms you can lie in bed and watch the rolling waves of the Atlantic crash on to the shore.
Walk upstairs to the spacious main living area, where you will find the dining area, family room, kitchen and half bath. Lit by natural light and highlighted with amazing views of the ocean from every seat, the open floorplan brings the family together with a large sectional couch centered around a coffee table, a large flatscreen TV, Blu-ray player, stereo, and surround sound. The dining area provides plenty of seating with a pub table for four and a 10-person dining table. The kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you will need to cook for the whole gang and a large island that doubles as a four-person breakfast bar for seating.
The second level deck is accessible from the dining area and is ideal for kicking back and soaking up the rays, reading a book in the shade while enjoying a cool breeze, taking in the sights, such as the famous Cape Hatteras Light House, and for dining alfresco on the screened in deck complete with picnic table. The best of all worlds is on one deck!
Keep it simple, and truly enjoy Island Life at Island Time Buxton. Not only are you steps away from the ocean, but you are also just a short distance from the grocery store, gas station, restaurants and shops. It truly is a centralized location that provides an authentic Hatteras Island feel and something for the whole family. Island Time Buxton is a place to leave the real world behind!

Final balance payments: Final balance payments are due 45 days prior to the arrival date. Reservations made less than 45 days prior to arrival must be paid in full within 48 hours. Final payment balances must be paid in full prior to check-in or occupancy will not be permitted.

Refundable Damage Deposit
Security deposit will be refunded within 7 days of departure. Any damages discovered by our house inspector will be discussed with the lease holder.
Cancellation Policy
All cancelled reservations are subject to a $250.00 cancellation fee. All cancellations by Tenant must be in writing and the receipt of the request must be confirmed by Owner. If a cancellation request is not received and Tenant does not arrive during the vacation rental period, the reservation will be considered to have been cancelled and not re-rented. If a reservation is cancelled and not re-rented for the cancelled period, all Advance Rent Payments including applicable taxes and fees, except the Security Deposit, will be forfeited by Tenant. If Tenant rents multiple weeks and cancels any portion of their stay, Tenant remains responsible for the original time period reserved. If the Property is re-rented for the contract amount, all Advanced Rent Payments will be refunded except any costs or fees incurred by the Owner. If the Property is re-rented for less than the contract amount, the refund will be further reduced by the difference between the contract amount and the amount actually received. Any refund will be processed at the end of the month in which you become eligible for the refund. Transfer requests will not be allowed from one reservation to another if the request is not made at least 90 days before the scheduled arrival date. All transfer requests are subject to Owner approval and will be subject to higher rental rates, if applicable.

EVACUATIONS and TRIP INSURANCE: Tenant acknowledges being advised to purchase third party insurance to compensate Tenant for certain unforeseen circumstances that may cause cancellation or interruption, including mandatory evacuation. Tenant agrees to comply with all mandatory orders of evacuation, time being of the essence. Tenant is allowed no more than three hours from the issuance of the evacuation order to vacate the Property. Occupancy of the Property thereafter shall constitute a trespass and law enforcement authorities will be notified. Tenant acknowledges that following lifting of mandatory evacuation, the Property may not be available for occupancy. If Agent deems the Property is no longer available, Tenant will be notified and receive a prorata refund for remaining available days or offered other accommodations. Agent reserves the right to prepare property during your occupancy for impending danger at their discretion to include but not limited to installation of storm shutters and securing all outdoor items. Travel Insurance does not provide coverage for voluntary evacuations, storm warnings or watches.
