Restaurants in Sea Ranch

The Ranch Cafe

Newly opened, The Ranch Cafe offers breakfast and lunch starting at 6:30 am and going late into the afternoon. Visit their Facebook Page to read their rave reviews. It certainly is a hit with the locals. Highly recommended is their Toasted Italian Sandwich. The bread was a French roll and the crust had a perfect crunch after toasting while the fresh bread remained soft to the bite.

As it is the newest, spot in The Sea Ranch you can be sure to expect a constant stream of people. So far, however, they have kept pace with it all. But to make ordering easy, you may wish to call your order in ahead of time.

Because they have so many specials the best plan is to come on in and check them out in person. Their daily breakfast menu offers:

  • Build Your Own Breakfast Sandwich,
  • Organic Fruit Parfait,
  • Biscuits & Gravy,
  • Savory Pinwheel,
  • Breakfast Burrito,
  • Quiche,
  • Bagel & Cream Cheese,
  • Cinnamon Toast

All in all, expect a very good experience.

Gualala Seafood Shack

Mendonoma's newest restaurant is fun, fast and fresh. Located on the north side of Gualala in the historic Bakertown center, the Gualala Seafood Shack offers the highest quality seafood sourced directly from the ocean out back (in Antonio's Tacos old site).

The Seafood Shack opened for service Friday, April 5, 2019, to good reviews.

Its owners, Ross and Susana, of Trinks fame, invite you to experience the true meaning of Ocean to Table dining.

Its décor is minimal. Some may call it “clean”; others call it stark offering communal zinc-topped tables with no cushions on the benches. Guests place their orders and pick them up at the counter. When finished you must bus your own dishes. For me, the biggest negative was the noise: there is nothing soft in the place and the noise environment is harsh.

Their fish tacos (deep-fried ling cod) are reported to be were good. They are topped with a very tasty sauce, kind of a Thousand Island, not a spicy salsa. Others reported the clam chowder was good.
